ANNUAL ELECTION 2010 – OCEA

Current, paid members of OCEA are eligible to run for any position and are encouraged to campaign for election.

Candidates MUST be nominated by a current OCEA member and MUST have their Board’s approval to serve on the OCEA Executive, Board of Directors* or as a Regional Representative*. Nominations can be sent ahead via email, fax or received from the floor at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) at the 2010 Spring Conference.

*Const. Bylaw 4.6: Only Members, holding a minimum of AQ Part I in Cooperative Education, shall have the right to run for and hold office as a member of the Board of Directors or as a Regional Representative.

EXECUTIVE AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

  • Vice President (1-year Tem and then becomes President and Past President with a total of a 3 year commitment)
  • Secretary (1-year Term)
  • Director, Regions: South A, South B and Central A (2-year Term)*
  • Director, Regions: Central B and Central C (2-year Term)*
  • Director-at-Large, Regions: Francophone (2-year Term)*

*NOTE: Regional Directors must be nominated by an OCEA member representing their region/area of the Province of Ontario

REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES:

  • East A Region
  • South B Region
  • North B Region
  • Central B Region
  • Central C Region

The term of office will begin on September 1, 2010.
